How to boost immune system

Hello Bridget Jones from Mandurah Mobile Massage Therapy here.

Let’s look at ways that we can boost our immune system.
I’ll keep this short and sweet. I’ve also applied links for you to read more if you wish to do so. There is nothing like a worldwide lesson to take better care of our health intake and hygiene standards.
In short this Coronavirus attacks a weakened immune system, yes. So let’s do what we can to naturally strengthen your immune system.
I’m in the Massage Industry so yes course I’m going to shout out the massive benefits to receiving a massage.
This post is not just about having a massage to improve your health. I write this from my personal experience. We have a large blended family. Out of the whole household I am the least to come down sick. On occasions when sickness will go through all the kiddies in the household I am usually the only one who won’t catch it.
I really believe it is because out of all the natural immune boosters below,  I will use or practice each and every one.
Boost Immune system Tip 1
Did you know that decent sleep boosts your immune system?

Try setting your alarm to remind you to go to bed at a certain time.

With myself I will remove the phone from my bedside table. Try it yourself. You will sleep so much better without your brain subconsciously waiting for notifications.

Did you know that Meditation boosts your immune system?

Boost Immune system Tip 3
Did you know that eating or drinking natural foods boosts your immune system?

We can boost our own immune systems by eating or drinking natural compounds. I’m sure you have heard it all before however this is a perfect time to bring in friendly reminders.
Such as drinking Green Teas, making your own iced tea or hot teas with sliced ginger, Lemon grass, mint leaves. Add a splash of honey if you wish. Also remember Echinacea, Maitake Mushrooms, Ginger and Garlic. So maybe stock up for a good old freshly cooked veggie style wok dish with some Almonds or Cashews

Boost Immune system Tip 4 (my personal favorite)
Did you know that having a massage boosts your immune system?
Yes Massage Therapy increases the activity level of the body’s white blood cells that work to combat viruses.
Massage is proven as a natural stress relief lowering our cortisol levels. And naturally boosts our immune system.
I personally have an ongoing monthly massage booked in. If I need a massage beforehand whether that be for a pain issue or I can feel the stress build up in my shoulders then I’ll book in for another in between.
Massage Therapy is my Number one go to. Then I will either mediate after or journal.
Boost Immune system Tip 5
High hygiene standards!

Yes we have completed the online Infection Control Training Course.

Here’s how we handle  high health and hygiene standards.
You can be rest assured that we have high health & hygiene standards here.
Being a high standards Massage Business we already have strict policy’s in place. Such as:
1. If our therapists are feeling run down or even feel at risk of coming down sick then we will swap their clients around. (which you may of already experienced)
2. When you book in online you will have read our waiver. That you are confirming that yourself as the client are in full health.
3. If our client appears to not be in full health when we arrive to their house we will not continue with their Massage. (On many occasions over the years I have arrived to a clients house and gently refused to provide them a Massage at risk of them becoming sicker or myself catching it off the client).

4. To each and every client who has ever had a massage with any of our therapists. While you prepare yourself to lay on the table. We step out to a bathroom to full wash and scrub up our arms. The exact same routine that Doctors and nurses use.

Overview:

Take care of your health and hygiene. Yes we absolutely are still trading until further restrictions are in place.

Please refrain from booking if you are at risk or not in full health.

Do make sure to follow high hygiene standards and thoroughly wash your hands

Until then an In-Home Massage is perfect and a lot more sterile then going in to a massage premises.
